Computer Science is the investigation of the theory and methods of information processing in digital computers. In other words, Computer Science teaches students how to make computers perform what they desire. On a higher level, computer science may be viewed as a science of problem-solving. Although the practical aspect of computing is visible everywhere and takes extensive hands-on experience to acquire, computer science can also be viewed as a science of problem-solving. The three primary areas of Computer Science are software design and development, problem-solving in computing, and improving computer usage.
Information Technology (IT) is a commercial area that focuses on the computer components of hardware, software, telecommunications, and other information-transmitting components. In other words, IT is heavily concerned with machinery, such as how computer chips are manufactured and how to properly process data input and output.
Both Computer Science and Information Technology students are expected to master programming languages such as Python, Java, and C#. As students go deeper into the programming system, they will be taught to increasingly complicated coding techniques, such as Prolog, Scheme, and machine code, commonly known as assembly language programming.

University of Nottingham Malaysia
Britain was the origin of the industrial revolution two hundred years ago, when humans developed new technology to increase their physical abilities. The ramifications of this for their civilization, and indeed for the entire world, are still being felt today. They are currently seeing the development of a second technological revolution, the information revolution, in which a new generation of computing tools is emerging to improve our cognitive abilities.
Computers, from the Internet to game consoles, mobile phones, and satnavs, are affecting practically every area of our lives, from how we work to how we play, travel, study, and socialize. Yet this is nothing compared to the changes that will occur over your lives when we approach the “period of ubiquity,” in which all of them will frequently interact with many thousands of machines networked into a global computing environment.
Taylor’s University
Taylor’s School of Computer Science, founded in 1998, provides a variety of career-focused programs at the diploma, degree, and postgraduate levels, with graduates continuing to meet industry requirements and contributing to the ICT talent pool. Its slogan, “Driving Innovation Through Technology,” strives to give students with numerous possibilities to shape the contemporary world’s future by pioneering the frontiers of Computing and Information Technology with a positive impact on society.
