About SISKL
Sunway International School Kuala Lumpur (SISKL) is the main campus of SIS which is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Only Sunway International School in Malaysia provides both the Ontario (Canada) Secondary School curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) for years 6 through 11.
Throughout the last fourteen years, Sunway’s staff, instructors, students, and parents have created a really unique community.
There, the term “community” is taken seriously. At SIS, students may feel comfortable investigating new topics, instructors encourage student innovation, and parents can track their children’s academic and personal development.
Why Study in SISKL?
Extra-Curriculum
Over 40 extracurricular activities are available to students to help them develop a deeper appreciation for collaboration and camaraderie. Their programs, such as Open Mic and Model United Nations, have given students the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and leadership skills.
Hi-Tech & Hi-Touch
The SIS employs a highly efficient technique that blends high-tech and human interaction to guarantee that students learn in a variety of ways. This technique also encourages students to do research, engage with others, and apply their knowledge to real-world situations via hands-on learning.
Assessment & Learning
Assessment is an ongoing process, not an event. 70% of a student’s grade is based on coursework, while the remaining 30% is determined by the final examination. This enables continual learning and growth to fit the requirements of each student so that they may reach their full potential.
Continuous Parental Engagement
SIS thinks that parental involvement and interest in their children’s education leads to improved academic performance. Throughout the semester, several activities such as “Meet the Teachers Nights,” “Cuppa Coffee Mornings with the Principal,” and “Parent-Teacher Interviews” are hosted so that parents and teachers may get better acquainted for the benefit of the children.
