Faculty of Civil Engineering
In 1989, the Faculty relocated from the Jalan Semarak campus of UTM Kuala Lumpur to the UTM Johor Bahru campus. Initially, the faculty consisted of three departments: the Department of Structures and Materials, the Department of Hydraulics and Hydrology, and the Department of Geotechnics and Transport. In 1976, a new Environmental Engineering Department was established. To support the faculty’s service and future development, three (3) management units were established. Information Technology Unit (ITUCE), Surveying Unit, and Civil Engineering Testing Unit make up the units (CETU). The faculty has a long history of generating renowned alumni who have made significant contributions to the development of Malaysia’s infrastructure.
